Business Meetings – Some Tips

Would you like a few tips for your business meetings?

1. When you meet someone and get into a conversation with them keep in mind that you do not know who they may be connected to. Treat them with respect.

2. Remember the 80:20 rule. 80% of your business comes from 20% of your clients. Know who you clients are and recognise them. Always have time for that 20%.

3. Book an appointment from an appointment. Ask your appointment whether they know of anyone who may be interested in your services.

4. Networking becomes a habit. Each day, see if you can give your contact details to five people and receive business cards or contact details from five people. You will be amazed how fast your network will build.

5. Be a natural referrer yourself. Have available contact details for businesses you know, like and trust.

6. After meeting someone, do your best to familiarize yourself with their business by either looking at their website or arranging an appointment and visiting them at their business. This will give you a much better understanding of them and their business. Also, people like you to show a genuine interest in their business.
