How To Download Streaming Video From YouTube, Google And More
By George Tho
I like to download streaming video when I come across one that is funny and would like to keep it on my computer so that I can watch it or show it to my friends and families without going online. I didn't know that it was possible at first until a friend of mine showed me exactly how to do it and here I am sharing it with you.
There are many video sites on web and more are being set up everyday. People often publish videos about themselves or interesting things that they come across. These sites that allow people to publish videos for free include YouTube, Google videos, Break, iFilm, Putfile, BlipTV and so on. Some sites are dedicated to certain themes while others are for any genre.
If you were to come across a nice clip and wants to download streaming video from these sites. There basically 2 steps and rather 2 things you need to know. First is how to download it and the second is the format of the downloaded clip and how to watch it on your PC.
In order to download streaming video, first take note of the URL of the video. For example, for YouTube videos, the URL will look something like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXX. Copy this URL and go to keepvid.com, paste the URL and click on 'Download'. After a while, a download link will appear and you may download the file.
Kindly note that if you download streaming video using the site mentioned, the downloaded file has the extension XXX.htm. Just rename the file to XXX.flv. Notice that the file format is in flv, which means that you cannot use your regular video players like Windows Media Player to watch it. You have to obtain an FLV player. There are many free FLV players on the web, just do a search and you should have no problem finding one.
As much as I like to download streaming video, still it is not enough for my entertainment needs. Read my review on a download portal that features [http://www.clickbankproductreview.com/mpegmusicvideos.php?cbtid=anmd06]millions of up to date movies, music, tv shows and even console games for download at a one-time fee here.
